Background & General Outline
The Seychelles group of islands is located in the Indian Ocean it is comprised of over one hundred named islands, most being just off of the equator. The total population of Seychelles is approximately 79,000. Seychelles is one of the newer offshore centres in the world and benefits from it's extensive offshore legislation.
Legal System
The legal system is based on the English Common Law and French Civil Law
Currency : Seychelles Rupee
Disclosure of the Beneficial Owner
It is not required to disclose details of the Beneficial Owner to the Government Authority.
Taxation : International Business Corporations are exempted from taxation.
Exchange Control : Does not apply to International Business Coprorations ( Offshore )
Name Restrictions
Anything identical or similar to a company already incorporated. Anything that implies association with any government agency, insurance, royal, imperial or any other name that may imply that a company intends to undertake a licensable or undesirable activity.
Names must end with Limited, Corporation, Incorporated, Société Anonyme or their abbreviations. A wide variety of other suffixes such as BV, GmbH, and SARL may also be used if desired.
Trading Restriction
Cannot trade within Seychelles or own real estate within Seychelles, nor provide trust, banking or other such service absent a license. A NEWLY FORMED Seychelles International Business Corporation takes approximately 1 week to incorporate
